Created to Create and Juicy Strawberries ~ Power Poppy

http://powerpoppy.com/products/created-to-create
Hello friends!!  Today is a big day!!  Power Poppy is releasing 2 new digital sets!!  That's right...2!!!  And they are both, as usual, incredible.  For my first project, I used the new Created to Create set for my base.  Marcy has designed this beautiful collage with a blank page, and with a beautifully written sentiment.  I chose to use the blank page and add a digital sentiment from the set Gerbera Daisies.  I wanted to make my page appear as a mixed-media journal page.  To do that, I took two Copic markers and blended them:  B000 and YG01.  I then stamped two "grunge" type images from the Clear Stamps set Move the Soul, using Whisper White (SU!) and Turquoise Gem (VersaMagic).  The page, paint tube and paint brush are popped up with dimensional tape, and the entire image was burnished to give it more depth and texture.  Lastly I added a library clip to the corner, and a few Enamel Dots (Prima and MME).

Below is a profile so you can see the dimension better.

Marcy is also releasing a beautiful strawberry image called Juicy Strawberries.  I just love the sentiments she included with this digital set, and thought I should include both.  So, I added the "Sweet Friend" one to the outside, and included the "squooshy hug" one on the inside.  Everything is colored with Copics, and I used a Kirarina Wink Gold pen for the Strawberry seeds.

I thought Spellbinders' Decorative Curved Square die would be a beautiful frame for the this image.  And framed the inside sentiment using Spellbinders' Curved Squares.

That's it for today's projects.  Be sure and head on over to the Power Poppy Blog for a list of all the Bloom Brigaders and Instant Gardeners with inspiration today.

Flowers, Always with Power Poppy

Hello Friends!!  Once again Friday has zoomed in upon us.  I'm not complaining though.  I love weekends, and I get to share another Power Poppy creation with you.  Today I used a digital image, Flowers, Always, along with a sentiment from the clear set Dynamic Duos: Peonies and Tulips.  It was easy to curve to fit in the banner I wanted to use.

Have you had an opportunity to try this month's Power and Spark Challenge?  If not, you still have time, and Christine has given us an awesome creative one to conquer!  We are to use only 3 colors.  I chose Turquoise, Lime Green, and White.  Now, I realize I didn't use a white Copic, but I did use a Quickie Glue Pen to fill in the white spaces on my image and added glitter.  I'm so hoping that counts!  I also added a couple of enamel hearts and diecut a variety of shapes to finish it off.

Copics:  BG02, YG25

That's sums up my creation.  Be sure to stop by the Power Poppy Blog, if you haven't already, because Marcella has yet another FABULOUS digi that you're going to have to have!!  Just sayin'...

Thanks for dropping by!!

  Happy Stamping!!

Power Poppy's Birthday Layer Cake

Hello Friends!!  I'm excited to share another Power Poppy card with you today!  Have you seen the newest digi called Layer Cake?  It's absolutely darling!!!   I love all the layers with the sweet banner that you can customize with whatever you want it to say because it's digital.  I added one of the sentiments to the bottom using Photoshop too.  I'm really starting to get the hang of this digital stuff.  *grin*

I colored the cake with Copics, and wanted to add some sparkle and dimension to the candy dots, so I used an Ice White Pearl Pen (Viva Decor) and sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds glitter (SU!) over it before it dried.  I also added some Glossy Accents to the glass plate and ink distressed the border with some Antique Linen Distress Ink.  To vintage it up, I distressed all the edges and added some elegant stick Pens along with some pearls and felt hearts.

That about sums up my card for today.  For some more Power Poppy inspiration, check out the following Bloom Brigade Blogs:

Happy Birthday Power Poppy!!

http://powerpoppy.com/
Hello Power Poppy peeps!!  Not only is it Friday, but it's the beginning of April already!!  That is just crazy!!  And, there is A LOT going on with Power Poppy today!!  First of all.....it's Power Poppy's 2nd birthday,

In Marcy's own words:  Power Poppy is turning 2. WOOHOO! We want to THANK YOU, our sweet and encouraging peeps around the world, for helping us spread the botanical abundance and zest for life. Your creativity, love, and generosity of spirit is SO STRONG! We are thrilled to kick off another year of flowering and empowering together.

From Friday through Monday, we're offering 20% OFF all Stamps, Digital and Clear. Use discount code: MARCELLA at checkout to receive the special savings. PLUS, for four days only we have a special birthday digi for only TWO BUCKS! Visit Power Poppy to learn more.

And now for my card ...Today's card was designed using a CardMaps sketch.  Power Poppy is being featured in this month's PageMaps sketches.  I was given the sketch you see on the right.
I combined two Power Poppy digital sets:  Gerbera Daisies, Spring Meadow Bouquet (Bumblebee), and a clear set for the sentiment: Simply Camelias

I printed, colored (with Copics), scored, burninshed, and even separated each petal to make the Gerbera more "fluffly".  There are 3 layers.  I also curled the leaves a bit with my stylus.

I added an extra vellum layer to the bumblebee wings to give them a lighter feel.

Copics: R59, R56, R81, N8, N6, N4, N2, Y38, Y35, Y32, .01 Multiliner

That sums up my project for today, but there's more I need to share.

http://powerpoppy.blogspot.com/Since it's the beginning of the month, there is a new Power and Spark challenge hosted by Christine.  And it's a super clever and creative one.  I will have project to share next Friday that fits the criteria.

You have 3 options to "Pick 3"

1.  Pick three markers from the same color family to create a monotone design
2.  Pick three markers from complementary color families  - easier to blend etc
3.  For the courageous or expert....pick three random markers and color away.

If you haven't already...be sure to check out the following Bloom Brigade and Instant Gardner blogs.  There's a ton of inspiration to be had!!!
Whew...I think I got everything!!  I hope you're excited by all the new fun stuff going on at Power Poppy as I am!!  Thank you so much for stopping by!

   Happy Stamping!
